What Can Happen In 180 Days
Tomorrow I embark on an adventure for the next 180 days. We often think of 180 degree turn when we want to change something about ourselves, and in the next 180 days, I hope I see a turning in me. I want to be closer to the Lord and be able to hear His heartbeat. The first step is to be in His Word daily and draw close to Him. I have been so distracted the last few years and haven’t been as close to God as I have been in the past. So after seeking the Lord I have decided to try another adventure He has set before me.
I have tried reading the Bible in 90 days with my prayer partner, but that is too much reading to commit to. About a week ago while talking to the Lord in prayer and asking Him about such things He brought up the idea of 180 days. Some would say that 180 days will be too fast to be able to get anything out of the Word. I am believing that by seeing the overall story at a quicker pace God will show me what He wants me to see. I went searching online for a reading plan. I found one that is read for six days and then there is a day of rest. This allows me to catch up if I need to.
I am often one to embark on adventures wholeheartedly, and then a few weeks or months later grow weary of it. So I have found a group of women who are willing to read with me. I will also be trying to document the adventure or sharing things God opens my eyes to in that time through this blog. So I hope you will join me by either reading the Bible along with me or at least coming back to see what is happening.
